Recently I've been very interested in Sony cameras. Don't get me wrong I'm still a Canon family. Last time was a55, this time Nex 5 attracts me. This in only an indirect review on Sony Nex5, and more will follow, probably. But today I just wanted to know more about one of their key functions called
sweep panorama.

The title say it all. The camera itself will take a panorama picture for you. Nex you smartie pants.
Sony uses the high-speed imaging function from their new Exmor R CMOS sensor to take many shots as the camera is swept through. A motion sensor detects the position of the camera, and once you let go of the shutter, the camera professionally joins the photos together for the best fit so they blend perfectly to form a beautiful wide angle image. So you don't need a tripod, and still there's no stitching errors or motion blurs. For me who is a noob in Photoshop and also bearing a computer that is pretty slow for the programme to run... I think it's very handy feature to have.

One trick that I learnt is that if you take vertical panoramic photos, it can give you fisheye snaps. Hey without getting fisheye lens perhaps I can spend ages on Photoshop and make my photos look like one. Or just invest on this camera...? Haha. But then.. one thing leads to another, this is only going to be a small leaky hole for the money. I'll want more lens sooner or later...... mind you I only have two arms and I prefer not to carry two cameras at one go.
I will be visiting Sony store very soon to check out this function as well as the camera. The photos on the reviews look pretty awesome but I wouldn't know unless I try it for myself. Quite exciting!!!
Sony advertises Nex 3 and Nex 5 to have DSLR Quality in your hands while having the benefit of being it ultracompact. Let me explore more into that.....
