Chocolate Brownie

11.02.10

Only a few hours left till the end of today... then let the 12th of Feb come!! I've decided to make some chocolate brownie to celebrate tomorrow. For those who would like to follow my lead and be a great chef - here are the steps:

All the ingredients: 175g butter, 1.5cup caster sugar, 1cup plain floor, 0.5cup Cocoa, 2 eggs, 1cup Mini choc chips, 1t vanilla essence, 1t baking powder, 1/4t salt
Cooking time: less than 20min for prep, 30min for baking

Melt butter in medium saucepan

Stir sugar, cocoa, vanilla essence, salt. Once you've got the constant mixture, remove the saucepan from heat, and cool slightly. At this time, preheat the oven at 170 degrees

Quickly whisk in eggs

Fold through sifted flour and baking powder

Mix mix mix... Oooo so many bubbles!

There. I got rid of most of the air bubbles. Looks neater :)

Mix choc bits. This is my favourite part. I decided to use the white chocolate bits but you can use the milk / dark ones.

Spoon the mixture to the slab tin and bake at 170degrees, for 25-30 minutes

The final product - TADA!! It will harden in cooling. I used a chopstick to see if it is done and made a horrible looking hole in the middle :(

It's always important to clean up the mess afterwards - good prevention against all the insect-like creatures that may cause tachycardia

Okay... I need to sleep now or else all this effort will be wasted. Cannot sleep in!!!!! Yay let tomorrow come!!
